After a successful excursion to Germany, the CEP International team has returned home inspired and full of fresh ideas!
The various halls of the Messe Düsseldorf venue offered an abundance of the latest products and trends. From a North American standpoint, the European exhibition industry offered an immense learning opportunity for booth styles and techniques, along with new and emerging technology.
Some popular design trends that showed up, were the use of curved angles, unique shapes & formations, simple sleek displays, pops of vibrant color and repetitive images that created an impressive visual impact throughout the halls. Mixing organic and natural materials with man-made, finished materials was also a common theme throughout the show floor. An example is natural wood such as raw, wooden logs as table legs and chairs.
The use of rich, dimensional elements showed up repeatedly in many of the European exhibit designs, along with hard wall fabrics. Design trends are currently heading towards simplicity and minimalistic architecture with great emphasis on graphic design. The use of double-deck and raised floor systems was extremely common across the show floor, as was the use of LED lighting. Almost every lighting solution displayed at EuroShop was of LED technology.
Along with all of the unique design and technology elements displayed at EuroShop, the trade fair was a great networking and educational opportunity for the CEP International Team! There were several successful meetings and conversations with European exhibit builders, providing a great learning opportunity for international exhibition practices, trends, and business culture. Overall, CEP attendance at EuroShop proved to be a very valuable experience. Our Creative Director here at CEP absorbed new techniques and ideas, while the rest of the CEP International Team explored new international business opportunities!
Until next time! The next EuroShop will be held March 5-9, 2017 at Messe Düsseldorf.
